I bought the NVIDEA Shield tablet to Miracast to my Epson Movario BT-200 glasses since they do not have any other video input option. After many hours of trying everything I contacted NVIDEA and they do not support Miracast. Under Settings > Display> it says "CAST" and it will pair with the wifi direct but will not work. Thanks NVIDEA for dropping the WIFI standard.

I setup my screenbeam pro this morning with the newly updated Nvidia shield (now on android 5.0). The menu is similar to get to the "wireless display" except now it says "screencast". No dice on miracast. Come to find out, Google dropped support for miracast on the new OS. So, either do not update your android device to Lollipop, or get a chrome cast. Apparently that is all they are supporting now. 🙁  We will see what happens in the future.

mirror cast would be pretty cool if you wanted to play and had other people who wanted to watch it without them putting their head on your shoulder
